Professional Summary

Multi-disciplinary designer with over two decades of experience spanning brand identity, digital illustration, 3D modeling, copywriting, and production strategy. With a foundation in retail typography and a mind for systems-thinking, I specialize in building visuals that clarify, convert, and captivate - even in resource-constrained environments.

I thrive at the intersection of design and technology, where I experiment with tools, reimagine workflows, and lead by example. My goal is always the same: leverage design to create maximum impact with elegant, scalable solutions – and always try to do something new and unexpected.

Notable Personal Projects & Cross-Pollinated Skills

  • Tool Experimentation & Documentation: Regularly explore alternative uses of design software. Document and share workflows for cross-team adoption, and in the wild.

  • Alpha Tester – Adobe Project Felix (predecessor to Adobe Dimension): Invited to join Adobe’s early testing group in 2017; have since championed its use for retail-ready 3D workflows, as well as all kinds of unexpected use cases.

  • 3D Modeling for Home Renovation: Self-taught in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior systems. Use SketchUp and other 3D tools to plan and execute personal home design projects.

  • Asian Culinary Instinct: Passionate home chef influenced by East and Southeast Asian techniques I’ve learned over the years from friends and family since I started regularly cooking in the late 90s.

  • Avid Science Fiction Reader: Interested in stories that reveal potential futures, from post-scarcity to dystopian. I have read some kind of science fiction on a daily basis for over a decade now. My favorite writers are Haruki Murakami, Iain Banks, and Martha Wells. I especially love stories where human characters have to live, argue and try to get along with difficult AI-based personas.

  • Serigraph Process Inventor: For years I have been working on a way to bring together unrelated technologies from today, with the unparalleled edge quality of fine screen printing. My goal is to print with unusual mediums on large substrates, at a very high resolution, and I have already proven this process to work at the scale of 22x30 inches. All the skills I’ve acquired over the years contribute to this effort, and one day I hope to scale it up with a small but high tech operation and use it to create a new art.
